Ted L. Glaub
Ted was raised in Rector, Arkansas where he worked on the family farm, feed and seed business, and icehouse. After graduating high school he continued his education by receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science at the University of Arkansas. Following graduation he joined the United States Air Force and became a Captain flying missions globally during the Vietnam War. After six years of military service, he went back to the University of Arkansas and received his Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics.
Ted joined Nortrust Farm Management in 1979 as a New Business Representative. He was responsible for twelve Southeast states. He transferred to Farm Manager and managed 30,000 acres from Northeast Arkansas to Southwest Alabama. In 1982 he joined American Farmland Investment as the Area Manager and managed 6,000 acres of farmland being developed. He was also responsible for evaluating and finding additional properties for investment clients. A year later he joined Lee Wilson & Company as a farm manager. Ted established Lee Wilson Farm Management Division, which managed over 11,000 acres in Arkansas and Mississippi. In addition, he consulted for Lee Wilson & Company Farms where he designed over 15,000 acres for improvements such as land leveling, irrigation, and drainage.
In 1993, Ted founded Glaub Farm Management to continue a 14 year career in providing agricultural services throughout the Mississippi Delta Region. He manages farmland in Arkansas, Mississippi, and Missouri that grow crops such as corn, cotton, grain sorghum, rice, and soybeans. On November 9, 1990 he received the Accredited Farm Manager (AFM) designation, which is awarded by the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers to those members who have had years of experience, are technically trained, have passed a rigid examination, and subscribe to a high code of ethics. Ted is a member of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers where he served as National President in 2000, American Soybean Association and serves on the national board. In addition, he is a member of the Realtors Land Institute and received the Accredited Land Consultant designation in 2002. He is also a member of the National Association of Realtors, Memphis Agricultural Club, and Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce.
Ted is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri, and Tennessee. He is also a licensed and bonded Auctioneer. His clients include individuals, corporations, and trusts. The dual role of broker and professional farm manager gives him a unique perspective in helping his clients improve their farmland investment income and asset value, locate farmland for acquisition, and market farmland for sale.
